Tokyo Japan Luxury Serviced Apartments and Hotel

Article by Lee Reeve, originally published on Deep Japan

I recently required a place to stay at to finish up some work-related projects, but I dreaded the distractions from working at home. I needed somewhere that was enough like home but far enough away from it where I could seriously knuckle down, concentrate, and get things done. I thought about becoming a monk and devoting myself to the quiet and isolation of a secluded temple, but I also desired internet access and power drinks whenever I needed them.

OK, so now what?

Fortunately I discovered Hotel & Residence Roppongi (H&R Roppongi) in downtown Tokyo. I’m delighted to say that my stay there resulted in not only one of the most productive cram sessions to date, but also one of the most notably relaxing visits I can remember.

The size of the room I was given was just perfect for my intentions and provided all of the necessities I demanded. I was surprised by all of the extras, too: a fully-equipped kitchen (complete with pots and pans, microwave, and silicon steamer), washing machine, and DVD player. Taking a look at the hotel’s services, my eyes widened with glee at the free coffee tickets and sports gym discounts. There were also common space services, bicycle rentals, and a whole lot more – too bad I had work to do!

I toiled through the day at a cozy desk and cozier chair, occasionally taking news-update breaks and one or two amusing walks around the block. Just long enough to clear my head and refocus my tasks-at-hand. When my day (night) was done, I fell quickly asleep in a remarkably comfortable bed, but not before treating myself to a hot ofuro-style bath – after showering with salon-quality soaps and shampoos.

Pure first-class satisfaction.

Luxury Hotel Living

H&R Roppongi should be an absolute must for any discerning business person or extended stay traveler to Tokyo. Their fully furnished, serviced apartments are some of the cleanest and best maintained that I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Every amenity you can wish for without having to ask. Operations are managed by an incredible group of multilingual, extremely friendly professional staff on call 24-hours.

H&R Roppongi is located just a few minutes walk from at least three major Tokyo Metro Station lines, not to mention shopping and sightseeing at Roppongi Hills and Mori Tower, as well as several convenience stores and restaurants, including Coconoma Season Dining – which I highly recommend and reviewed here:

If you’re planning to be in Tokyo for any length of time, I strongly urge you to take up a room at Hotel and Residence Roppongi. You’ll enjoy all the comforts of home – and more – without actually having to be there.
