Ruth Marie Jarman, CEO of Jarman International, was featured in the Yamagata Shimbun for her lecture at the Yamashin Ladies Seminar held on October 23, 2025. Speaking to an audience of approximately 800 participants, Ruth focused on empowering Japanese women and highlighting the global appeal of Japan’s culture and communication style.
Drawing on her 39 years of experience living and working in Japan, Ruth spoke about the communication challenges she has faced as an international in Japan’s work environment, and the subtle but impactful adjustments that can help bridge those gaps.

To smooth Japan’s path toward globalization, it is important to help the world understand these unique characteristics.”
