Someone who is coming to Japan from abroad may have a very different set of values in regard to their furniture than someone who is leaving Japan back to their home country or elsewhere. I can imagine that when moving to Japan initially, one would want to take many things that may not be easily obtainable in Japan. On the other hand, as is the case with many expats, one leaving Japan may discard most things to start anew in their next destination. Japan relocation can be confusing at times.

What sort of approach would you take in either scenario? All the furniture, some of the furniture, or none at all? Unless you are a student, you will probably have more than a few large objects you wish to keep with you for longer. Sporting equipment, an expensive television set, or even something sentimental that has been in your family for generations.

However, if you want to keep your move sensible, leasing furniture may be one of the options to consider. Leasing makes sense when the equipment you use creates a return that exceeds its cost. In other words, leasing allows you to set a fixed monthly payment for the use of equipment that creates an anticipated return exceeding that payment. That way you are certain that your operation is profitable and the equipment serves its purpose.

Whether coming to Japan for the first time, or not, Lease Japan is the easy and stress free way to furnish your home tastefully and quickly without heavy up-front costs. They can arrange to have your home fully furnished even before you arrive, without heavy up-front costs. At Lease Japan they do the work for you so that you can concentrate on getting settled and acquainted with your new environs. Their monthly payment schedules make it easy and affordable to have a comfortable home in Japan. You can see their catalogue here, or download the PDF version catalogue and order form from the ordering page.

Did you know that regardless of whether your housing contract is a two year automatically renewing contract or a fixed term contract, you can cancel the contract at any time as long as you give 30 days notice? Also, there is usually no penalty fee for breaking the contract early, so long as you give the required 30 days notice.

And did you know that if you are driving a car manufactured in Japan that is less than 2 years old, it most probably does not have a spare tire? Instead your car will have a puncture repair kit, which will allow you to repair your puncture without having to jack up your car or remove your wheel! As a result, such cars have more space, weigh less and are therefore more fuel efficient.

To gain access to other important news, events and features of interest to foreigners living in Japan, Subscribe to the H&R Group newsletter today! H&R Group provides careful, friendly, and thorough assistance for those seeking relocation services, permanent housing, office space, car-lease support and basically any service involved in having overseas employees move to Japan.
