The Jarman International Charity Golf Cup is more than just a golf tournament; it’s a bridge between passion and philanthropy. In our latest edition, the event not only continued its support for our new beneficiary, Sotobo-yo —a nonprofit organization promoting children’s outdoor play activities—since January 2024—but also achieved a significant milestone by raising in excess of ¥90,000 for Second Harvest Japan.

JI Charity Golf Cup Beneficiaries
In addition to our usual beneficiary, Mirai no Mori, which seeks to empower marginalized youth in the outdoors, June’s JI Charity Golf Cup will support Common Grace, a Hawaii-based charity that helps elementary school children not get “left behind” by providing them with high school age Sempai mentors. The 3,000 yen or more collected on our group day on June 17th will go directly and fully to Common Grace. Being at the club to support the event in person also helps Jarman continue its monthly donations to Mirai no Mori.

Jarman International was proud to have our JI/Japan Friendship Golf Club Luau Golf Cup Charity Event featured in the Sustainable Japan by the Japan Times Gallery for August. We are delighted that our efforts at Golf For Good where we have fun, are inclusive and support people in need, is becoming more widely known.

Every month since 2018, Jarman International has hosted a charity golf cup at EastWood Country Club in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, which raises funds for Mirai no Mori, a non-profit organization that offers fun, life-changing outdoor activities for marginalized youth in Japan. We are delighted to announce Hiroshima-based inbound tourism consulting agency, JizoHat, as headline sponsor for the August tournament.

Common Grace is a Hawaii-based initiative to help mentor highly vulnerable elementary school children. Volunteers from high schools and church communities volunteer one afternoon a week to play/do homework/talk with a child from an elementary school in their area. Teachers help select the children that need help and all mentors are trained and carefully vetted. This effort was launched after the Columbine shooting in Colorado with the aim of ensuring as many children as possible are not marginalized and left behind in their early years.
