On March 11 of this year, Jarman International CEO, Ruth Marie Jarman, appeared on NHK Radio 1’s “Chikyu Radio” to discuss the topic of disaster preparedness for international residents as part of the special program “Disaster Preparedness – Living in Japan.”

With more and more internationals choosing to call Japan home, Ruth emphasized the need for the Japanese authorities to provide multilingual information on how to prepare for a disaster and to set up evacuation centers that take the needs of people from various countries into account.

At the same time, she encouraged international residents to get to know their neighbors, whether it be through the simple exchange of greetings and gifts or checking in on each other now and then. After all, it is your neighbors who may save your life in an emergency.
