Learning how perfectly Kochi natural salt is made at the seashore, watching an artisan blacksmith bring a beautiful knife to form using soft, locally sourced steel, and walking through the Sunday Market (Japan’s longest running at 300 years) were all highlights of the trip.

So many activities in Kochi offer traditional Japanese appeal for international families.

Jarman International was honored to gather 30 members of the JI Core 50 representing Europe, Asia, North America, Oceania, Africa, and South America to learn about the wonders of Fujinomiya City in Shizuoka Prefecture.

A full night of laughter, learning and interaction with the Mayor and other officials from Fujinomiya taught us all there are so many lovely places in Japan that we need to support and most of all, visit.

Fujinomiya is next on our bucket list and we will work to spread the word via the social media promotion, blogs and the networks we are in. Fantastic results are possible when the power of the Core 50 community is brought into play!
