The Jarman International Charity Golf Cup is more than just a golf tournament; it’s a bridge between passion and philanthropy. In our latest edition, the event not only continued its support for our new beneficiary, Sotobo-yo —a nonprofit organization promoting children’s outdoor play activities—since January 2024—but also achieved a significant milestone by raising in excess of ¥90,000 for Second Harvest Japan.

JI Charity Golf Cup Beneficiaries
In addition to our usual beneficiary, Mirai no Mori, which seeks to empower marginalized youth in the outdoors, June’s JI Charity Golf Cup will support Common Grace, a Hawaii-based charity that helps elementary school children not get “left behind” by providing them with high school age Sempai mentors. The 3,000 yen or more collected on our group day on June 17th will go directly and fully to Common Grace. Being at the club to support the event in person also helps Jarman continue its monthly donations to Mirai no Mori.

Jarman International is excited to share that Ken Guilfoyle, CPA of BDO Tax Co. and global tax coach, will once again serve as headline sponsor for the April JI Charity Golf Cup at EastWood Country Club. This is the second month in a row that Ken is supporting the event in this capacity, and it’s thanks to people and organizations like him that we can keep providing this opportunity for golfers to contribute to Japan and the world.

We now have two more clubs in Gifu looking to sign up so we hope to have a nice list of clubs around Japan where you can play at a discount and compete in the Jarman Cup virtually.

Kieron Cashell has taken the cup for September with a gross of 93 and a net score of 76.2, and we wonder who will win for October? So exciting!

Here is how to participate.

1. Play a round of 18 holes at Eastwood Country Club sometime during the month. If you would like us to make the reservation for you, please contact us at info@jarman-international.com
2. Submit your score card to us by the end of the month. (please make sure it is signed by someone who played with you and clearly legible).
3. We will calculate your score along with other Cup participants at the end of the month and announce the winner in the first week of the following month.

The winner will receive the Charity Cup Trophy as well as a cash prize of 100,000 yen. We will also invite you to a celebratory dinner to present you with the trophy and cash prize!

We hold a “Jarman International Charity Cup” each month at Eastwood Country Club in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture. A winner is selected after compiling the scores from both on-site and virtual participants. The following month, we have a celebratory lunch.

We had a great celebration lunch with July Jarman Cup winner Deputy Ambassador of India to Japan, Mr. Raj Srivastava and his son, Arjun. At lunch, we spoke about interesting destinations around the world, learned more about how incredible India is, and enjoyed excellent vegetarian (non-meat) pasta at Coconoma Season Dining in Nishi Azabu, Tokyo.
